Thursday 17th April saw WCC start the season with an internal club match with the result genuinely an irrelevance.

The selection process was complicated and used the latest technology (wheel of fortune) but saw some last minute appeals lead to a last minute change in lineups. The matched featured a senior cricket debut for G.R. who is part of the this year's U15 team. We just have to hope he was not overawed by the quality and professionalism on display.

Highlights of the evening included expert display or runing between the wickets from MD, the fantastic umpiring by Sam and (genuinely) some tidy bowling from debutant G.R. and some good striking from Moose. Other mentions must be given to the batsmen who retired - Tom, Harry, Dan, Zain and Adam.

A great way to start the season and thanks to all those who played and those who got the grounds ready and Reece for organising the evening (even with concussion).
